Cavan is a longer run for me than the counties closer to home, so I plan it properly and arrive early. That is deliberate. A wedding morning is not the time to be watching the clock on a motorway.
The way I film does not change: documentary style, compact equipment, no staging, no directing. I would rather be the supplier nobody noticed than the one who ran the day.
Cavan weddings often stretch across more than one day, which suits the way I work. The quiet bits, the arrivals, the in-between moments, tend to be where the film finds its character.
