Filming a Roscommon wedding
Roscommon is further afield for me, so I plan for that: an early conversation about timings, arriving in good time, and settling in well before anything begins so travel is never the couple's problem.
The filming itself doesn't change with distance. Documentary style, compact equipment, no staging, no directing, and staying in the background so the day belongs to you rather than to a camera crew.
Roscommon wedding venues
Kilronan Castle. A 200 year old neo-Gothic castle on Lough Meelagh, with walled gardens designed by Diarmuid Gavin. I'm booked to film a wedding here in October 2027.

Lake country in the northwest midlands
Roscommon is quiet lake country, closer in feel to Leitrim and Cavan than to the midlands further south. It's an understated county, and it films beautifully in soft light off the water.
