Dublin Wedding Videographer

From castle estates on the county's edge to city centre ceremonies, I've been filming Dublin weddings for more than ten years.

Why couples getting married in Dublin book me

I'm based in Roundwood, just over the Wicklow border, which puts almost every Dublin venue within an easy hour of home. City hotel, southside castle, northside estate: there's no travel drama on the morning of your wedding, and I arrive knowing the venue rather than finding my way around it.

Dublin weddings have their own rhythm. City ceremonies mean streets, guests arriving on foot, and real life happening around you, and that suits the way I film: documentary style, compact equipment, no staging, no directing. I blend into the day whether that day is black tie in a five star ballroom or a humanist ceremony in a Georgian theatre.

The thing couples mention afterwards is that they barely noticed me. In a city wedding that matters twice over: nobody wants a camera crew parting the crowd on Grafton Street or hovering over the speeches.

Dublin wedding venues I film at

A few of the Dublin venues where I've filmed real weddings:

Luttrellstown Castle, Castleknock. A private castle estate that feels a world away from the city; see Natalie and Kieran's wedding film.

The Shelbourne, St Stephen's Green. Dublin's grand old hotel, made for black tie. Here's Elizabeth and Lee's Shelbourne wedding video.

Clontarf Castle Hotel. Castle atmosphere ten minutes from the city centre, and a lovely setting for smaller days too: Pei and Xin's elopement film was shot here.

Smock Alley Theatre, Temple Bar. A 1662 theatre turned ceremony space, one of the city's most atmospheric rooms; here's a real Smock Alley wedding film.

Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel, Killiney. Views over Dublin Bay on the southside; a wedding I filmed here was featured by IMAGE.

Beyond the venues, Dublin's churches and registry ceremonies bring their own character: Sam and Stephen's Hindu ceremony is a favourite example of how varied the city's weddings are.

City and county

From the city centre to the coast

Wherever you're marrying in Dublin, I've probably filmed nearby: hotel ballrooms in the centre, castle grounds on the edges, coastal venues from Howth to Killiney. If your ceremony and reception are in different places, moving through the city is part of the story, and some of my favourite footage happens in between: the walk to the car, the faces on the street, the quiet minute in traffic when it all sinks in.

If you're still comparing options, my portfolio shows the style, how I work explains the approach on the day, and wedding video prices covers the practical side. Marrying south of the city? I'm local there too: see Wicklow wedding videographer.
