Waterford is a longer journey for me, so I treat it as one: planned properly, often with an early start or a night before, so I am on site and settled well before anything begins. Nobody wants their videographer arriving at the same time as the bouquet.
The filming itself does not change with distance. Documentary style, compact equipment, no staging, no directing, and staying in the background so the day belongs to you rather than to a camera crew.
The southeast gives you coast and countryside within easy reach, and the light down here in summer runs late into the evening.
