Filming a Westmeath wedding
Westmeath is a bit of a drive from home in Wicklow, so I build that into the day rather than rushing it: arriving in good time and settling in well before anything begins.
The filming itself doesn't change with distance. Documentary style, compact equipment, no staging, no directing, and staying in the background so the day belongs to you rather than to a camera crew.

I also know Hodson Bay Hotel on Lough Ree. If your venue isn't named here, ask; I travel across the county for the right wedding.
Lough Ree and the midlands
Westmeath weddings often make the most of Lough Ree, and the light off the water changes the whole feel of a film through the day. It's an easy county to film well: the lake does a lot of the work.
