Laois Wedding Videographer
Laois is quiet midlands country with a couple of genuinely lovely country house venues, and it is an easy enough run across from Wicklow.
Why couples getting married in Laois book me
Laois is a comfortable drive from home, and country house weddings here tend to be relaxed affairs that run to their own pace rather than a rigid schedule. That suits documentary filming.
I use compact equipment, natural light where possible, and I do not stage or direct anything. The aim is a film that looks like your day actually looked, not a version of it arranged for a camera.
The county sits under the Slieve Bloom mountains with a lot of open farmland, so there is usually a good backdrop within a few steps of wherever you are standing.
Laois wedding venues I film at
A few of the Laois venues where I've filmed real weddings:
Castle Durrow. A Georgian country house hotel with big grounds and a warm, family-run feel. See Claire and Alan's Castle Durrow wedding film.
I also know the country houses around Mountrath and Ballintubbert. If your venue is not named here, chances are I have filmed nearby or know it; just ask.
Country houses under the Slieve Blooms
Laois weddings are often exclusive-hire country house days, where everyone stays on site and the whole thing unwinds slowly. Those are lovely to film because nothing has to be rushed.
Wherever you are marrying in the county, the approach does not change: quiet, natural, and out of your way.
If you're still comparing options, my portfolio shows the style, how my wedding videography works explains the approach on the day, and wedding video prices covers the practical side.
