Filming a Monaghan wedding
Monaghan is further afield for me, so I plan for that: leaving in good time and settling in well before anything begins, so travel never becomes the couple's problem.
The filming itself doesn't change with distance. Documentary style, compact equipment, no staging, no directing, and staying in the background so the day belongs to you rather than to a camera crew.
Monaghan wedding venues
Castle Leslie Estate. A 1,000 acre estate around the village of Glaslough, in the Leslie family for generations. One of Ireland's most storied wedding venues, and I'd take the right date there.

Drumlin hills and quiet lakes
Monaghan is drumlin country: small rolling hills, hedgerows and lakes rather than dramatic coastline, closer in feel to Cavan than to the midlands further south. It's an understated setting, and it films beautifully in soft light.
