Glasson Lakehouse Wedding Videographer

Glasson Lakehouse sits in the village of Glasson, right on the shores of Lough Ree, part of a 225-acre resort with 70 bedrooms and its own boat tours, kayaking and golf if guests want to make a weekend of it.

I filmed a wedding here. The lake is the whole point of the place, and it shows up in the film whether you're planning for it or not.

Here's how I work, wherever I'm filming: compact equipment, no staging, no directing, and a habit of staying out of the way so the day looks like it actually happened rather than a production.

• The Reid Suite's lake-facing windows change completely with the light, so the golden hour here is worth planning your speeches or first dance around.
• It's a bit of a drive from home, so I build that into the day rather than rushing it.
