Ballintubbert House Wedding Videographer

The house was built in 1725 and is the birthplace of poet Cecil Day-Lewis, father of actor Daniel Day-Lewis. It later passed through the hands of two more actors: Sebastian Shaw, who played the unmasked Anakin Skywalker in Return of the Jedi, owned it through the 1940s and 50s, and Sir John Hurt owned it in the 1990s.

The gardens have been developed since the 1850s and were significantly recreated from 1999 by Fergus and Orna Hoban, working with garden designer Andrew Farrelly, adding the Canal, the sunken Lutyens Garden (inspired by the Lutyens garden at Heywood House), the Rose Garden, the Robinson Meadows and the Beech Wood across 14 acres. The gardens are run on organic and biodynamic principles.
