A grand setting, filmed quietly
Luttrellstown Castle Resort sits in its own private estate on the edge of Dublin, at Castleknock. It's a grand setting with castle interiors and parkland grounds, exclusively yours for the day, and it looks especially beautiful in summer light.
The scale of the place gives a film a lot to work with: bright getting-ready rooms, a sweeping approach, ceremony spaces indoors and out, and grounds that swallow a wedding party whole. There's always somewhere quiet and characterful to capture a moment, and always a corner for the two of you to escape to at golden hour.
Castle interiors reward my way of working. The rooms carry their own atmosphere, so I film with compact gear and the light the venue gives me, and nothing about your ceremony or speeches ever feels like a shoot.
Wherever I film, my approach stays the same. I keep a low profile, I don't stage anything, and I document your day without interrupting it. At a venue this grand it would be easy to make a film about the castle; the good ones are still about the two of you, with the castle playing its part in the background.
