Summerhill House sits behind manicured gardens with the Wicklow Mountains behind, at the end of a long wooded driveway in Enniskerry, about thirty minutes south of Dublin near the N11.
It's genuinely close to home for me: I live in Wicklow, so the light and the drive here are already familiar.
Where weddings happen at Summerhill House Hotel
Ceremonies can be held in the White Room, a purpose-built civil ceremony space with views over the Glencullen River Valley toward the Irish Sea, or out in the gardens. The reception moves to the Ivy Suite Ballroom, up to 250 guests. The Morning Room is available from 9am for prep.
How I'd approach it
Here's how I work, wherever I'm filming: compact equipment, no staging, no directing, and a habit of staying out of the way so the day looks like it actually happened rather than a production.
