A discreet, documentary-style wedding film at a family-run hotel on John Street, right in the middle of Kilkenny city.
Three generations on John Street
Langtons started life as a bar in 1938, opened by Ned and Bridie Langton, and it's still family run three generations on. It sits on John Street in the centre of Kilkenny city, so a city wedding here means guests arriving on foot and Kilkenny's own streets as part of the backdrop.

Where Langtons weddings happen
The Langton Ballroom has 20 foot ceilings, ornate cornicing and hand painted silk wallpaper, and the hotel can cater for anywhere from a small family gathering up to 340 guests.
How I work here
Compact equipment, no staging, no directing, and a habit of staying out of the way so the day looks like it actually happened rather than a production. A city centre wedding has its own rhythm, streets, passers-by, real life carrying on around you, and that suits documentary filming well.
