A house with real architectural pedigree
Gloster House is a 17th century Georgian-Palladian house near Brosna, Co. Offaly, with design attributed to Edward Lovett Pearce, the architect behind Ireland's Parliament House on College Green. It sits on a 140 acre demesne and has been extensively restored.
It's further from Wicklow than most of the venues I cover regularly, but the house itself is a genuinely notable piece of Irish architecture.
Where weddings happen at Gloster House
There are five event spaces on the estate; the Garden Room is the largest, seating up to 180 guests. Six Georgian double bedrooms are available on site.
How I'd approach it
Here's how I work, wherever I'm filming: compact equipment, no staging, no directing, and a habit of staying out of the way so the day looks like it actually happened rather than a production.
