Druids Glen is a five star hotel and golf resort in the Wicklow countryside, with the historic Woodstock House on the grounds. It's a genuine local venue for me: I live in Wicklow, so the drive and the light here are already familiar.
The resort deliberately hosts only one wedding per day, which keeps the grounds calm and uncrowded no matter which room you're in.
Where weddings happen at Druids Glen Resort
The James Joyce Ballroom takes 80 to 240 guests, and The Woodland space takes up to 200, so the resort can flex from a mid-size wedding to a large one.
How I'd approach it
I've filmed a real wedding at Druids Glen, so I know the resort rather than seeing it for the first time on your day. My approach stays the same everywhere: compact equipment, no staging, no directing, and staying out of the way so the day looks like it actually happened.
