Killruddery House Wedding of Megan & Jake
Wow! Filming this Killruddery House wedding was such a treat! Built a few hundred years ago on beautiful grounds, the historical venue is an amazing backdrop for a wedding and so it's no surprise that Megan and Jake fell in love with it. Given that Killruddery House and Gardens pretty much has it all, I'm sure choosing this Wicklow wedding venue was an easy decision for them. When Megan's mom got in touch from America, she had been searching for wedding videographers in Wicklow as she wanted to book a local filmmaker who was not only familiar with the location but could also do a great job capturing the little touches & big moments of the day.The weather was a little moody on the day, but thankfully it stayed mostly dry so Megan and Jake could fully immerse themselves by getting all adventurous while the photographers and I captured some lovely moments between them. David Frain was the official photographer and he appears on an article I penned about the best wedding photographers in Ireland. We had some really fun moments after taking a mini-hike to a high vantage point where the couple surprised us by flawlessly recreating the famous "lift" scene from Dirty Dancing.
Spring / Summer Killruddery House Wedding
I'm fortunate to live very close to this 17th century venue which has been home to many generations of the Earls of Meath. Since opening their doors to the public, the venue has become very popular for weddings in Wicklow.Megan & Jake exchanged their vows in the orangery and later enjoyed their reception in the converted barn now known as the Grain Store. Please enjoy this Killruddery House Wedding Video!
