Ashford Castle overlooks Lough Corrib in Cong village, with garden views and the option of full exclusive hire, up to 160 guests, so you and your guests can have the property to yourselves.
It's well outside my usual Leinster ground, but a genuinely exceptional setting, and I'd take the right date there.
Where weddings happen at Ashford Castle
The George V Dining Room hosts the wedding breakfast, with the Oak Hall for the reception. The Connaught and Inglenook rooms suit a more intimate wedding, up to 40 guests. Ceremonies are often held at a local church in Cong or Ballintubber Abbey, about 40 minutes away.
