A fairytale castle on 840 acres
Adare Manor is a five star castle hotel set on 840 acres of parkland on the banks of the River Maigue, with formal gardens and woodland throughout the grounds.
It's a significant trip from Wicklow, well outside my usual ground, but the estate is genuinely exceptional and I'd take the right date there.
Where weddings happen at Adare Manor
The Grand Ballroom takes up to 300 guests for the reception, with a minimum guest number of 150. Several other reception spaces exist on the estate; ask directly for details when you enquire.
How I'd approach it
Here's how I work, wherever I'm filming: compact equipment, no staging, no directing, and a habit of staying out of the way so the day looks like it actually happened rather than a production.
- The 150 guest minimum is worth knowing early if you're planning something smaller.
- The estate includes its own spa, 111SPA/CLINIC, a genuine point of difference for a wedding weekend.
