The Abbey Wedding Videographer

The Abbey Wedding Venue sits on Stanhope Street in Athy, built around an original 18th century chapel with its own stained glass windows still intact. It's an exclusive-use venue with landscaped gardens and 38 bedrooms on site, sleeping up to 100 guests.

I filmed a wedding here. The stained glass alone makes it one of the more distinctive rooms I've worked in.

Here's how I work, wherever I'm filming: compact equipment, no staging, no directing, and a habit of staying out of the way so the day looks like it actually happened rather than a production.

• The original stained glass windows do a lot of the work for a ceremony shot; the light through them changes through the afternoon.
• Exclusive use means the whole place is yours for the day, which tends to make for a more relaxed schedule.
