The K Club sits on a resort estate in Straffan with waterways running through the grounds, tree-lined avenues and two golf courses, about thirty minutes from Dublin.
It's a well-established destination-wedding venue, with a strong track record of hosting couples who fly guests in from further afield. I filmed a wedding here myself back in 2019.
Where weddings happen at The K Club
The Legacy Suite (K Lodge) and the Palmer Room (Palmer Clubhouse, with an adjoining terrace) both take 120 to 300 guests, so the venue can flex from an intimate day to a large one.
How I'd approach it
I filmed a wedding at The K Club back in 2019, though I don't have a dedicated recap of it online yet. My approach hasn't changed since: compact equipment, no staging, no directing, and staying out of the way so the day looks like it actually happened rather than a production.
