Barberstown Castle dates from 1288, built by Nicholas Barby, and played a real part in defending the historic Pale around Dublin. It sits on twenty acres of private parkland in Straffan, about thirty minutes from Dublin city.
The castle keeps to one wedding a day, so the 16th century Banquet Hall, the wedding garden and the private courtyard are entirely yours.
Where weddings happen at Barberstown Castle
The Banquet Hall, a separate building from the main hotel, takes up to 280 guests and gives full exclusivity for the reception, with its own Arrivals Hall for a welcome reception beforehand.
